Anna Stokes

Anna Stokes has worked with numerous orchestras including the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra, London Concert Orchestra, Northern Sinfonia, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Brandenburg Sinfonia, Arts Symphonic, National Theatre Orchestra ('Light Princess' by Tori Amos) and session work for EMI, Universal, Deutsche Grammophon, Decca and Mercury. She has also toured the UK extensively with singers Russell Watson and Aled Jones.

Varvara Tarasova

Russian pianist Varvara Tarasova was born in St Petersburg and is currently an Artistic Diploma student at the Royal College of Music assisted by Sir Roger and Lady Carr Soiree d’Or Scholar, supported by the David Young Prize and the Olive Rees Prize.  In 2016 she received her Master of Performance from the Royal College of Music, and in 2015 Varvara received a postgraduate degree with honours under the supervision of Professor Elena Kuznetsova at the Moscow State Conservatory, also winning the Award of the President of Russian Federation.

Neil Thomson

Neil Thomson is one of the most widely-respected and versatile British conductors of his generation. He has conducted and recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra and the Philharmonia (in a broadcast with Steven Isserlis) and in the past five years has worked with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra,

From 1992 until 2006 he was Head of Conducting at the Royal College of Music. The youngest-ever incumbent of this post (first held by Sir Adrian Boult in 1916 and thereafter by conductors such as Sir Malcolm Sargent, Constant Lambert, Vernon Handley and Norman Del Mar).

He was made an Honorary Member of the RCM in 1994 for his services to the institution and has established an enviable reputation as an orchestral trainer.

Marianne Thorsen

The winner of many international competitions, including most notably the 2003 Sion International Competition, Marianne Thorsen has established herself as one of Norways leading violinists. She has performed with the Philharmonia Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and the major orchestras in Scandinavia, among many others.
