David Adams

David Adams is leader of the Orchestra of Welsh National Opera and tutor in violin at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Having previously performed with the London Bridge Trio as guest violist, earlier this year David was invited to the trio as their new violinist. Passionate about chamber music David has been a member of the Raphael Ensemble and Ovid Ensemble is now delighted to be exploring the extraordinary piano trio repertoire with two such wonderful, distinguished musicians Kate Gould and Daniel Tong.

Ilker Arcayurek

Voted into the top ten of a „new generation of rising stars“ and hailed for his „golden“ voice by Opera Now Magazine, Ilker Arcayürek is the winner of the 2016 International Art Song Competition of Stuttgart’s Hugo Wolf Academy. He was finalist of the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World Competition 2015 and has been selected a BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists through 2017. He makes his highly anticipated Wigmore Hall recital debut featuring lieder by Schubert and Schumann in fall 2016.

Artea Quartet

The members of the Artea Quartet met whilst studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London in 2001. After studies with the Amadeus, Alberni and Wihan quartets they went on to forge a successful career, winning many awards and performing at festivals throughout the UK including the BBC Proms, and at venues such as the Wigmore Hall and Purcell Room as well as live broadcasts for BBC Radio 3.

James Baillieu

Sought after as an accomplished chamber musician, soloist and accompanist, James has curated a series exploring the chamber music and songs of Poulenc and Hahn at Brighton Festival, worked with Thomas Quastoff at the Verbier Festival, taken part in the Cardiff Singer of the World Competition, and recorded for BBC Radio 3 with Ben Johnson, Robin Tritschler, Ruby Hughes and the Signum Quartet. He has given recitals at Wigmore Hall with Kathryn Rudge, Lisa Milne, Adam Walker, Sophie Bevan, Ailish Tynan, Marcus Farnsworth, Ian Bostridge and Mark Padmore.
